• The System Unit contains the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and hard drives; every other device (like monitors, web cameras, keyboards, mice, game controllers, printers, speakers and headsets) is a peripheral.

• Monitors provide visual output and web cameras provide visual input
• Keyboards, mice, and game controllers provide input
• Printers create paper output
• Speakers and headsets make audio output.

Note: Many people confuse the CPU with the System Unity, do not make that mistake. The CPU is inside the System Unit.
